Marketing Analysis for Sonic

The Fast Food chain Sonic is a franchise success.  This bond with its own company and their customers is why their a great success.  They advertise to every age group from teens to older folks, with one thing in mind, and that is to make the customer happy.  "Satisfied customers are one of the best measures of a company's success, and Sonic maintains one of the highest customer frequency rates in the industry." says Sonics website.
Sonics markets it's drive in concept, where the customers can park and order without waiting in a line inside or inside.  They use two guys in a car that talk about Sonic food, and what all is has to offer.  This works for Sonic because they are using their drive in as an advantage against the competition.
For a store like Sonic to compete with the big names of fast food like McDonald's and Burger King, it will need to persuade the customers form both those stores to try and take away some customers and have them go to Sonic instead.

Advertising Video

This film, has increased my knowledge on the subject of advertising.  There has been am increase in commercial advertising in the last 20 years.  Companies are promoting some things toward specific groups like Song Airlines regarding women.  Also advertisers are bringing families and communities together in a cult like way.  Emotional ties are becoming more and more common and regarding spiritual feelings into their ads.

Some problems dealing with advertising are: the more ads these companies create the more they are going to have to to create to gain our attention.  Also we are starting to stop differentiate between brands anymore, but in return companies are trying to learn about  how to differentiate themselves from the competition.  All these things make a advertisers job difficult, plus with DVRs these days customers can fast forward through all the commercials.    This Film was a great learning tool for students and put alot into perspective.

Sony Walkman

The product was made by Sony Electronics. Sony to me is a Reliable, Cool, Quality, Modern, Smart. All these qualities make me want to buy a product from this brand, plus my Dad works fro Sony and he has always shown and told us why Sony is such a good brand and why it has been successful. Other people view the Sony brand as follows: Innovative, Japanese, Music, Quality, Reliable, Sleek, Slick, and Electronic. Most people have different views of a brand because of their experience with the product than others. But none the less Sony is a great brand and will be successful for many years to come.
